Satyrianas, 78 Horas Em 78 Minutos

This is another hybrid of fiction and documentary, this time focused on the celebration of theater, which takes place annually over three days at Praça Roosevelt, São Paulo. The documentary portion provides an overview of the movement that emerged in this once run-down area of the city, which has since transformed into a hub for alternative theater.

The film features insightful interviews with prominent figures, including Rodolfo García Vázquez and Ivam Cabral, founders of the Os Satyros theater group; Hugo Possolo and Raul Barretto from the Parlapatões troupe; and playwright Mário Bortolotto, among others.

To "wrap" the interviews and document the Satyrianas celebration, the fictional element introduces a foreign filmmaker, invited by a producer, who struggles to communicate with the director of photography. The broken English of the Brazilian crew further complicates the situation. However, a surprising twist awaits at the end.
